Chan Yue Chow, Johnny

Johnny specializes in commercial crimes and, in particular, all SFC offences and related investigations.

He was a lawyer with the Department of Justice of Hong Kong for about 14 years, with over 10 years specialising in criminal prosecutions.  He was the General Counsel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants for 5 years before joining the SFC in 2013, where he was a Senior Counsel providing advice on criminal and civil cases under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap 571).

During his 12 years with the SFC, he had advised on a number of SFC cases and provided various in-house training seminars to SFC officers. As a result, he is intimately familiar with both the powers of the SFC and their limits, and he can easily identify potential weaknesses in different types of cases.  With his experience, Johnny is in the unique position to provide unparalleled insight and perspectives on how to effectively deal with SFC investigations and proceedings.
