On 30th October 2020, our Mr. Szeto Wai Sun and Mr. Stanley Chan Wing Leung attended the Global Forum on Law Firm Management- Future of the Legal Practice, hosted by the Swiss Chinese Law Association. The online forum started at 13:00 CET Time / 20:00 Beijing Time/ 8:00 am New York Time with dozens of global leading experts participating.
In a keynote speech, our Mr. Szeto shared his view on lawyers’ collaboration for the future. Mr. Szeto took the Greater Bay Area in China as an example to showcase how lawyers from different jurisdictions could take part in the Belt and Road Initiative.
By sharing the development of Sun Lawyers and our new Joint Venture in Nansha, Mr. Szeto reminds our young lawyers to forget “ideology” and to look for opportunities as globalization turns a new chapter, especially those arising with the further opening up of the China market under the Belt and Road Initiative.
During the Q&A session, Mr. Chan was asked about language barriers in the collaboration with our Chinese counterpart. He sees no difficulty in developing legal services with the Nansha Joint Venture, as all our members are proficient in Cantonese, English and Putonghua.
