2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, not least due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, with our firm’s motto (“Best Service in Every Way”) firmly in mind, we strive to provide legal services of the highest quality to our clients. Improvements were made to office hardware and software systems were upgraded, resulting in significant improvements in our overall efficiency and enhanced ability to work in sync with both our clients and counterparts, wherever they are.
We also take this opportunity to share our rapid growth over the past year. With the support of the relevant authorities, as well as our colleagues and friends, we established a new joint venture law firm in Nansha, Guangzhou, alongside our partners, Guangdong Kingbridge Law Firm and Kuong Iok Kao Advogados. The new firm is one of its kind as the first Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macau joint venture law firm in Guangzhou. Our presence in the Greater Bay Area is further fortified by being selected as a committee member of the 10th Professional Committee of the Guangzhou Lawyers Association, amongst other recognition. We shall continue to contribute our part in developing the nation’s cross-border legal network.
In parallel, our firm’s goal towards internationalization continues to drive us ahead. We participated in various forums and presentations hosted by the Swiss Chinese Law Association, advancing the role of Hong Kong lawyers in the national Belt and Road Initiative. At the same time, we maintained close ties with our counterparts in Eurolegal and cooperated in a number of projects.
Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that a strategic alliance has been created with Taipei Law Attorneys-at-Law, Taiwan, with a view to provide our clients with all-rounded legal services.
As the saying goes, “the journey of a thousand miles is accumulated from small steps”. Your unwavering support have taken us where we are today, for which we are sincerely grateful for. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients and friends for their trust in us, as well as the hard work and support of our partners and colleagues.
