On 3 December 2025, Winnie Tam SC, Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) Jurisdiction Council Member for Hong Kong, and our Partner Olivia Kung, Officer and Chair of the IPBA Publications Committee, hosted a welcome cocktail reception at Des Voeux Chambers to honour the visit of IPBA President-Elect Priti Suri to Hong Kong. The event drew over 65 attendees, including IPBA members and distinguished guests, creating a lively atmosphere of professional networking.

Later that evening, Olivia hosted an intimate dinner for Priti, featuring authentic Chinese cuisine — an essential Hong Kong experience.

On 17 November 2025, our Associate, Ms. Joycie Wu, was invited to speak at a seminar on water seepage litigation, jointly organised by Hong Kong Institution of Building & Services Engineers (HKIBSE) and Hong Kong Engineering Association Alliance (HKEAA). The seminar was held at the Hong Kong Mediation Centre and brought together legal experts, engineers, and senior mediators to share insights, case studies, and the recent developments in law, seepage investigation and mediation techniques related to water seepage issues.

On 15 September 2025, Dr. Hon Johnny NG Kit-chong, MH, JP, Member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council and Founder of the Goldford Group, held a seminar on “Stablecoins” at our firm. During the seminar, Dr. Ng introduced the concepts of Web 1.0 to 3.0 and provided a detailed explanation of what stablecoins are, the differences between stablecoins and cryptocurrencies, the global market size of stablecoins and cryptocurrencies, and their future outlook.

In addition, Dr. Ng discussed the recently passed Stablecoins Ordinance and the JPEX (a virtual asset trading platform) fraud case with our firm’s lawyers during the seminar.

After Dr. Ng’s sharing, our firm’s lawyers gained a deeper understanding of concepts such as virtual currencies, stablecoins and the digital economy, laying a solid foundation for handling works related to digital assets and stablecoins transactions in the future.

On 3 September 2025, our Partner, Ms. Doreen Kong Yuk Foon, attended the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War in Beijing. To mark the 80th anniversary of China’s War of Resistance and the end of the Second World War, a grand commemorative event was held at Tiananmen Square and the Great Hall of the People in the capital. On the morning of the event, a military parade showcasing the equipment of the People’s Liberation Army was conducted, which is also widely referred to as the “3 September Parade.” During the commemoration, 80,000 pigeons of peace were released and 80,000 balloons were ascended into the sky, while the stirring melody of “Singing the Motherland” resounded throughout the square. The aerial formation of the Chinese military pulled out fourteen colored smoke trails across the sky, symbolizing the Chinese nation’s 14- year epic journey of the war of resistance , as well as the bright future of over 1.4 billion Chinese people towards national rejuvenation and prosperity.
