Execution of legal documents overseas during COVID-19To contain the spread of COVID-19, governments all over the World have adopted travel and entry restrictions of varying degrees. Under such restrictions, many are unable to conduct their affairs in person. Our firm is committed to providing different solutions to our clients, such as attestation and/or certification of documents by our Notary Public and China-Appointed Attesting Officer; preparation of Powers of Attorney to enable clients to authorize third parties to handle the relevant transaction(s). Where appropriate, legal documents can even be signed in the joint presence of our overseas affiliates and our lawyers via video-conferencing. Such measures have overcome geographical restrictions and facilitated many of our clients’ affairs, in particular conveyancing transactions.
