On 15 January 2020, upon the invitation of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, our firm’s partner Mr. Stanley Chan and trainee solicitor Ms. Ava Zhu attended a discussion session with representatives from the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Cooperation Office, Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone to discuss further and better cooperation between Nansha and Hong Kong.
The representatives mentioned that Nansha government is currently working on facilitating itself with better education, transportation, professional services and medical care. Located in the centre of the Greater Bay Area, Nansha enjoys a unique geographical advantage and has great potential for economic and technology development with its vast land resources and modernized infrastructure.
Our establishment of the first Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macau joint venture firm shows that we have strong faith and see great potential in Nansha’s future development. We are also desirous of taking this opportunity to strengthen the communication and cooperation with the Mainland, and to establish an effective and professional platform of cross-border legal services in the Greater Bay Area.
